In November 2025, the first “MediaWeekend” of the “Media-check: Fact-Checking Clubs in Lori Region” project was launched in Tashir. In the first half of the day, participants learned about media and media literacy, its importance for society, and how it influences the formation of our perceptions and opinions. Through the 5 key questions of media literacy, the youth developed critical thinking and learned to distinguish between false and accurate information.

During group work, the “Tree” method was applied, where participants analyzed texts and identified information structures and source reliability. This method helped them understand the formation of information chains and the role of responsible media use. In the second half of the day, participants discussed the culture of fact-checking and mechanisms for forming a trustworthy information environment.

The project is implemented by the “WE” Youth NGO of Lori Region with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, as part of the “Fact-Checking Clubs” program.

The “Youth in Action: Youth Empowerment and Leadership Development in Armenia” project is co-funded by the European Union and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, and implemented in partnership with World Vision Armenia, the Media Initiatives Center, and the Gyumri “Youth Initiatives Center” (YIC).
