A workshop within the “REGION: National Network for Reliable Awareness of Electoral Processes” project was held in the Alaverdi community of the Lori region. The session focused on several key pillars of democratic engagement and electoral integrity.
The workshop addressed fundamental topics, including the vital importance of civic participation, the core principles of electoral law, and the necessity of ensuring accessibility throughout the voting process. A significant portion of the discussion was dedicated to debunking common stereotypes by aligning them with legislative facts and exploring effective methods to identify and prevent electoral violations.
To provide a hands-on experience, participants engaged in a comprehensive simulation of a voting day. They managed the entire electoral chain- from the initial setup and furnishing of the polling station to the final tabulation and summary of results- allowing them to practically grasp the complexities and importance of each stage in a transparent election.
The workshop is implemented with the financial support of the European Union and the German Marshall Fund of the United States-Transatlantic Foundation (GMF TF). The content is the sole responsibility of the “We” Youth NGO of Lori region and does not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union or GMF TF.
