On March 29, the tenth workshop of the project “REGION: National Network for Reliable Information on Electoral Processes” took place in the Stepanavan community of the Lori region. The session was conducted by the project trainer, Vahe Khachikyan, under whose leadership several key topics for a democratic society were discussed.

The workshop agenda included various options for civic participation, ranging from traditional referendums to innovative digital platforms. Participants explored mechanisms for ensuring the transparency of electoral processes and effective methods for preventing electoral violations.

In the second part of the event, a simulation game was organized, providing participants with the opportunity to assume the roles of different actors in the electoral process. They practically implemented the entire voting chain, from the preparation and furnishing of the polling station to the final tabulation of results.

Notably, the training was attended by a diverse audience, including adults, youth, displaced persons from Artsakh, and first-time voters, which facilitated an active exchange of experience and a comprehensive discussion.

The workshop is implemented with the financial support of the European Union and the German Marshall Fund of the United States — Transatlantic Foundation (GMF TF).
