On March 30, the eleventh workshop of the project “REGION: National Network for Reliable Information on Electoral Processes” took place in the Aparan community of the Aragatsotn region. The session was conducted by the project trainer, Vahe Khachikyan.
The workshop presented the importance of civic participation and the fundamental principles of electoral law. The discussions focused on comparing common stereotypes with legislative facts, as well as exploring electoral violations and effective ways to combat them. Special attention was given to all processes of the voting day, from the preparation of the polling station to the final tabulation of results.
The training was attended by a diverse audience, including adults, youth, displaced persons from Artsakh, and first-time voters, which facilitated an active exchange of experience and a comprehensive discussion.
The workshop is implemented with the financial support of the European Union and the German Marshall Fund of the United States – Transatlantic Foundation (GMF TF). The “WE” Youth NGO of Lori Region bears full responsibility for the content, which does not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union or the GMF TF.
