A workshop within the “REGION: National Network for Reliable Awareness of Electoral Processes” project was held in the Vayk community of the Vayots Dzor region. The session was led by project trainer and lawyer Mariam Mkrtchyan, under whose guidance participants discussed key topics essential for a democratic society.

The workshop agenda included the importance of civic participation, the principles of electoral law, and ensuring their accessibility. Participants had the opportunity to compare common stereotypes with legislative facts and discuss electoral violations along with effective methods to counteract them. Special attention was given to all voting day processes—from polling station preparation to the final tabulation of results.

Notably, the training involved a diverse audience, including adults, youth, displaced persons from Artsakh, and first-time voters, which fostered experience sharing and comprehensive discussion.

The workshop is implemented with the financial support of the European Union and the German Marshall Fund of the United States-Transatlantic Foundation (GMF TF).
