On December 21, the forum titled “Women in leadership: Gender stereotypes and overcoming them” was held. The forum opened with a welcome speech by the Ambassador of Canada to Armenia, Andrew Turner, who congratulated the participants on their active involvement in the program and the significant results achieved. The Ambassador also spoke about Armenian-Canadian relations, the funding provided through CFLI, and the importance of raising awareness about women’s rights.

The operational coordinator of the “We” Youth NGO of Lori region presented the goals and implementation phases of the The “She” in Civic project, highlighting all the results achieved so far. The “She” in Civic project participants Greta Khandanyan, Ariana Margaryan, and Astghik Tsaturyan told the audience about the “STEREOTYPES:CUT” game. In an interactive format, they presented the gameplay process and its content.

During the first part of the day, a panel discussion titled “Women in leadership: Gender stereotypes and ways to overcome them” took place. The speakers were: Liana Hovhannisyan (assistant to the minister, RA ministry of territorial administration and infrastructure), Zara Ghazaryan (journalist, blogger), Milena Hayrapetyan (“Safe YOU,” communications manager), Gohar Tadevosyan (woman entrepreneur, co-founder of the “Avetis” brand)

In the second part of the forum, young participants took part in an interactive quiz, answering questions about women’s rights and gender equality. The winners were awarded prizes.
