In 2025, SD Platform, in cooperation with the “WE” Youth NGO of Lori Region and the Vardenis Medical-Humanitarian College, implemented a training course for the youth of Vardenis focused on local self-government and resident participation.
The goal of the training was to increase youth awareness regarding local democracy and foster an active civic stance. Participants were introduced to the structure of the local self-government system, understood the roles of the community head, the council, and the staff, and discussed the importance of every resident’s participation in community decision-making.
This workshop is implemented by the “WE” Youth NGO of Lori Region within the framework of the “SD Platform Armenia” project, funded by the Foundation Max van der Stoel (FMS). The project is implemented in cooperation with “SD Platform Armenia.”
