On April 12, a regular workshop within the framework of the project “REGION: National Network for Reliable Information on Electoral Processes” was held in the Ijevan community of the Tavush region. The session was conducted by the project trainer, Vahe Khachikyan.
During the workshop, the importance of civic participation and the fundamental principles of electoral law were presented in detail. Participants had the opportunity to discuss the accessibility of electoral processes and compare common stereotypes with legislative facts. Special attention was paid to electoral violations and effective methods to combat them, with a thorough review of all polling day procedures.
The training was attended by a diverse audience, including seniors, youth, forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh, and first-time voters, facilitating active and comprehensive discussions on the topic.
The workshop is implemented with the financial support of the European Union and the German Marshall Fund of the United States – Transatlantic Foundation (GMF TF). The “WE” Youth NGO of Lori Region bears full responsibility for the content, which does not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union or the GMF TF.
