In 2025, Mane, a participant of the “Together for Local Democracy” project, along with active local youth, conducted a resident survey and mapped out key issues within their village as part of a community initiative. The lack of trash cans and benches was identified as a primary concern through this mapping process.

The youth took action by submitting an online application to the municipality and holding meetings with local government officials. As a result of their consistent efforts and dialogue, trash cans were installed shortly after the application, followed by the successful resolution of the seating issue. This initiative perfectly demonstrated the vital role youth play in addressing community problems and fostering civic engagement.

The project was implemented by the “WE” Youth NGO of Lori Region and funded by the European Youth Foundation (EYF) of the Council of Europe.
