Within the framework of the “Leading in the Community” project, aimed at empowering young girls in the Lori and Tavush regions, a two-day workshop was organized for the youth of the Tavush region.
On the first day of the workshop, trainer Vahe Khachikyan discussed leadership, local self-government, and the importance of participation in community life. Practical and interactive games were organized for the participants, helping them reinforce the theoretical materials presented.
During the second day, project mentor Madlen Minasyan introduced the participants to community initiatives. The participants first discussed various examples of initiatives, then mapped out community issues and attempted to develop community-based initiatives aimed at solving them.
The “Leading in the Community” sub-grant project for empowering girls in the Lori and Tavush regions, implemented by the “WE” Youth NGO of Lori Region, is part of the “Empowering Women’s Rights Defenders in Armenia” program by the Institute of Liberal Politics, supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Armenia.
