“We” Youth NGO of Lori Region, in cooperation with the “Urtsadzor” Youth Center, held a workshop on “Media Literacy and Fact-Checking”.

The aim of the workshop was to develop media literacy and critical thinking skills among young people, help them distinguish between reliable and false information, and introduce them to effective methods for verifying the credibility of information.

The session was led by Madlen Minasyan, who presented the importance of media literacy, the core principles of evaluating information sources, the characteristics of how disinformation spreads, alongside various fact-checking tools and methods to the participants.

During the workshop, the participants discussed the importance of a critical approach to information spread in the media, explored how to identify disinformation and manipulative content, and tested their fact-checking skills through practical exercises.

The workshop was organized by the “We” Youth NGO of Lori region within the framework of the SD Platform Armenia program, funded by the Foundation Max van der Stoel – FMS and implemented in cooperation with @sd_platform_armenia .
