The SD Platform, in cooperation with “We” Youth NGO of Lori Region and with the support of the Max van der Stoel Foundation (FMS), successfully implemented a workshop for youth titled “Reliable Local Democracy: Youth Civic Engagement and Participation,” in partnership with the NGO Center CSD NGO.
The objective of the workshop was to raise youth awareness about local democracy and foster an active civic stance among participants.
Guided by trainer Rozita Khachatryan, participants were introduced to the operations of Local Self-Government Bodies (LSGs) and the legal mechanisms for youth engagement, while discussing the importance of transparent and accountable local governance. During group activities, through the interactive “Find the Error” game, they analyzed situational scenarios to practically identify legal errors related to LSG legislation, voting rights, and age restrictions.
The workshop was organized by the “We” Youth NGO of Lori region within the framework of the SD Platform Armenia program, funded by the Foundation Max van der Stoel – FMS and implemented in cooperation with @sd_platform_armenia .
