Within the framework of the “REGION: National Network for Reliable Awareness of Electoral Processes” project, a regular workshop was held in the Metsamor community of the Armavir region. The focus of the meeting was the role of citizens in a democratic society, the foundations of participation, and the principles of electoral law, emphasizing the transparency and accessibility of processes.
During the workshop, participants gained detailed insights into voting day procedures and mechanisms for preventing electoral violations. The event stood out for its interactive format; young people identified common myths regarding electoral processes, comparing them with real facts and legislative regulations. Through a practical simulation game, participants had the opportunity to personally experience the entire voting day cycle-from setting up the polling station to the final tabulation of results.
The workshop is implemented with the financial support of the European Union and the German Marshall Fund of the United States-Transatlantic Foundation (GMF TF). The content is the sole responsibility of the “We” Youth NGO of Lori region and does not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union or GMF TF.
