On September 28, 2025, the second day of the training session “Sustainable Development Goals in Communities: Challenges and Solutions” took place in the Tashir community. The final day was marked by practical exercises and discussions focused on local development.

In the first half of the day, participants explored the theme of “Women’s Rights” with trainer Varsik Nerkararyan. Through interactive exercises, they analyzed the vital role of women in community life and their potential for engagement in local decision-making processes.

The second session, led by trainer Davit Hakobyan, covered “Sustainable Development Goals and Advocacy.” To apply their theoretical knowledge, participants performed a comprehensive mapping of community issues in the enlarged Tashir community using the “SDG Mapping” methodology. This exercise helped align local challenges with global sustainability targets and identify potential pathways for progress.

This training was implemented by the “WE” Youth NGO of Lori Region within the framework of the “CSOs4SLD2: CSOs for Sustainable Local Development (Grant Management)” project’s small grants component by the “NGO Center” CSD NGO. The project is part of the “Strengthening Civil Society in the Eastern Partnership Countries” program, implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and funded by the German Government and the European Union (EU).
