On April 15, a regular workshop within the framework of the project “REGION: National Network for Reliable Information on Electoral Processes” was held in the Aragats settlement of the Armavir region.
The session was conducted by Mariam Hoveyan, project trainer and expert in electoral processes. During the meeting, she discussed the role of the citizen in strengthening democracy and presented the fundamental principles and legal regulations of electoral processes, emphasizing their practical application.
Participants also were introduced to the e-draft and e-request platforms, exploring their functionalities and usage as tools for civic oversight. Special attention was given to addressing frequently asked questions regarding elections and identifying common misconceptions (myths) by comparing them with actual facts and current legislation.
The workshop is implemented with the financial support of the European Union and the German Marshall Fund of the United States – Transatlantic Foundation (GMF TF). The “WE” Youth NGO of Lori Region bears full responsibility for the content, which does not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union or the GMF TF.
