The main objective of the project was to empower and promote the meaningful and impactful engagement of young people at local levels, particularly in the processes of labor rights protection and human rights literacy. The initiative aimed at developing the professional capacities of youth workers operating in remote and rural communities of Armenia, raising awareness on labor legislation, as well as fostering youth civic consciousness and overcoming challenges in the labor market.

Within the framework of the project, a 4-day intensive training course was organized in Gyumri for 20 selected youth workers representing 8 different regions of Armenia. Utilizing non-formal education methodology and interactive tools, the participants deepened their knowledge of human rights and the core principles of labor law. During the camp, attendees also engaged in exclusive meetings and online discussions with representatives and experts from key sector institutions, including the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.

Subsequently, leading sectoral experts developed a specialized Armenian-language educational manual for youth workers titled “I AM a Labour Law Ambassador,” which incorporated 4 unique non-formal educational tools. In the final phase of the project, the trained participants applied their newly acquired knowledge and the newly developed manual to launch 17 local follow-up workshops and awareness campaigns in their respective communities . Simultaneously, 10 informative posters clarifying labor rights were designed and disseminated across social media platforms.

The initiative had a significant impact on the civic and legal activation of youth at the local level. Beyond the direct participants, more than 210 indirect beneficiaries were reached through the community response activities. One of the most vital and sustainable outcomes of the project is the formation of a resilient network of “Labour Law Ambassadors”. In cooperation with local partner organizations and youth centers, the educational resources created continue to serve the empowerment of youth throughout these communities.
