On April 11, the latest workshop within the framework of the project “REGION: National Network for Reliable Information on Electoral Processes” was held in the Vardenis community of the Gegharkunik region. This was the second session conducted in the community, specifically targeting the active involvement of women and forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh.

The workshop was conducted by the project trainer, Vahe Khachikyan. Participants discussed various forms and tools of civic participation, electoral principles, and the significance of universal suffrage.

The discussions specifically highlighted the importance of active participation by youth and women in community decision-making processes. The role of being an informed and responsible citizen was emphasized as a key factor in the development and strengthening of a democratic society.

The workshop is implemented with the financial support of the European Union and the German Marshall Fund of the United States – Transatlantic Foundation (GMF TF).
