In November 2025, the Gyulagarak Media Club hosted the second “MediaWeekend” within the “Media-check” fact-checking clubs in Lori region” project. Participants discussed manifestations of media manipulation in the Armenian reality, seeking to understand how to identify manipulative content and prevent its influence on public opinion.

During the sessions, the youth learned to use Google advanced search tools, conduct effective queries, and find the most reliable information sources. A special focus was placed on cybersecurity; participants discussed the importance of digital hygiene, secure passwords, and personal data protection.

Participants noted that the topics presented were highly relevant, helping them not only stay more protected in the online environment but also approach media content with a more informed and critical mindset.

The project is implemented by the “WE” Youth NGO of Lori Region with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, as part of the “Fact-Checking Clubs” program.

The “Youth in Action: Youth Empowerment and Leadership Development in Armenia” project is co-funded by the European Union and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, and implemented in partnership with World Vision Armenia, the Media Initiatives Center, and the Gyumri “Youth Initiatives Center” (YIC).
