On March 22, 2026, the fifth workshop of the “REGION: National Network for Reliable Awareness of Electoral Processes” project took place in the Akhuryan community of the Shirak region. The discussion focused on the diverse opportunities for civic participation, ranging from traditional referendums to modern innovative digital platforms.

During the workshop, participants explored mechanisms for ensuring transparency in electoral processes and effective methods for preventing electoral violations. The most engaging part of the event was the simulation game, where young people took on the roles of various participants in the electoral process. They had the opportunity to personally organize the entire voting chain-from setting up the polling station to the final tabulation of results-gaining a practical understanding of the significance of every step in the process
