On May 3, a regular workshop within the framework of the project “REGION: National Network for Reliable Information on Electoral Processes” was held in the Kapan community of the Syunik region, bringing together first-time voters.

Led by project trainer Mariam Mkrtchyan, the participants discussed the role of citizens and the importance of participation in a democratic society, the fundamental principles of electoral rights, as well as election day procedures and tools for preventing electoral violations. During the second half of the workshop, through a simulation game, participants practically experienced the entire cycle of election day, from polling station setup to the final tabulation of results.

The workshop is implemented with the financial support of the European Union and the German Marshall Fund of the United States-Transatlantic Foundation (GMF TF).
