On April 12, a regular workshop within the framework of the project “REGION: National Network for Reliable Information on Electoral Processes” was held in the Hrazdan community of the Kotayk region. The session was conducted by Mariam Hoveyan, project trainer and expert in electoral processes.
During the workshop, participants discussed several key topics for a democratic society, including:
- The role of the citizen and the foundations of participation in a democracy,
- Principles of electoral law, transparency, and accessibility of the process,
- Polling day procedures and mechanisms for preventing electoral violations.
The workshop stood out for its interactive format. Through a practical simulation game, participants had the opportunity to personally experience the entire chain of the voting day, from the preparation and furnishing of the polling station to the final tabulation of results.
The workshop is implemented with the financial support of the European Union and the German Marshall Fund of the United States – Transatlantic Foundation (GMF TF). The “WE” Youth NGO of Lori Region bears full responsibility for the content, which does not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union or the GMF TF.
