The “We” Youth NGO has officially launched the two-day capacity-building training for regional digital leaders within the project “Safe to Speak Online: Micro-Academy for Youth and Women in Armenia’s Regions.”
At the opening of the workshop, Project Coordinator Rozita Khachatryan presented the core goals, structural framework, and expected outcomes of the initiative, followed by an interactive session to map the participants’ expectations and motivation.
The first day of the training was packed with essential theoretical and practical building blocks:
- Digital Rights: During the first session, trainer Aram Gevorgyan presented the topic of “Digital Rights,” highlighting its critical importance for youth and women, and exploring the strategic role of digital leaders in fostering a secure online ecosystem within their communities.
- Online Security and Privacy: In the second half of the day, trainer Madlen Minasyan led a comprehensive session on “Online Security and Privacy,” engaging participants in practical discussions regarding proactive steps and measures for digital self-defense on online platforms.
- Digital Mentorship Tools: The intensive day concluded with a collaborative exploration of “Google Classroom” as a primary digital mentorship tool. Through dynamic discussions and team-based assignments, our future mentors practically reinforced the knowledge and insights gained throughout the day.
The “Safe to Speak Online: Micro-Academy for Youth and Women in Armenia’s Regions” project is implemented by the “We” Youth NGO of Lori Region with the support of the CIVICUS Digital Democracy Initiative (DDI).
