The goal of the project is to raise awareness about gender-based violence, feminist values, and women’s empowerment through art and civic engagement in the Vanadzor community. The project aimed to establish a public, safe, and open platform to foster dialogue on gender-based violence.
Within the framework of the initiative, an open feminist art competition, a thematic exhibition of the best artworks, a panel discussion titled “Art as a Language of Struggle and Healing,” and a participatory community outreach action under the slogan “My Message Against Violence” were organized.
A total of 54 individuals participated in the events, including youth, students, artists, and civil society members. The project successfully activated public dialogue on gender-based violence, enhanced self-confidence among young women and girls, and promoted the appreciation of art as a powerful tool for social change.
The project “Colors of Freedom: Art Against Violence” is implemented by “We” Youth NGO of Lori Region with the funding of the Women’s Fund Armenia (WFA).
