he “She” in Civic project aims to promote the participation and representation of women and girls in decision-making processes, particularly in rural communities across Armenia. The project focuses on overcoming gender stereotypes, developing leadership skills, and creating innovative civic education tools to empower young women and ensure their active engagement in community life and local self-government processes.
Within the framework of the project, young women and girls from the Aragatsotn, Gegharkunik, Syunik, and Lori regions of Armenia participated in capacity-building workshops, developed and implemented the “BreakOFF Stereotypes” educational board game as a tool to promote gender equality and critical thinking, and carried out community initiatives in their local communities.
The project concluded with a regional forum that brought together approximately 150 young people, fostering open and inclusive discussions on gender equality, women’s leadership, and youth civic engagement.
The “She” in Civic project is implemented by “We” Youth NGO of Lori region. This project was supported by CFLI. The views expressed in this publication are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of CFLI.
