On April 18, the “REGION: National Network for Reliable Information on Electoral Processes” project was implemented in the Ararat community. The workshop aimed to involve youth, women, seniors, first-time voters, and forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh in the civic education process. The session was conducted by project trainer and electoral process expert Mariam Hoveyan, who discussed the role and responsibility of the citizen in the establishment of democracy. Participants were introduced to the e-draft and e-request platforms, discovering their potential and practical methods of use. During the meeting, frequently asked questions regarding elections were discussed, common misconceptions were identified and compared with facts and current legislation.
The workshop is implemented with the financial support of the European Union and the German Marshall Fund of the United States – Transatlantic Foundation (GMF TF). The “WE” Youth NGO of Lori Region bears full responsibility for the content, which does not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union or the GMF TF.
